Phase 1: The Waterfalls & Red Earth
• Day 1: Marrakech to Ouzoud Falls (approx. 110 km | Mixed Surface)
• The Ride: Exit Marrakech via the Sidi Rahhal plains. As you approach the foothills, the terrain turns to rolling red dirt tracks.
• Highlight: Arriving at the 110m high Ouzoud Waterfalls for sunset.
• Overnight: Riad in Ouzoud.
• Day 2: Ouzoud to Demnate (55 km | +900m)
• The Ride: A shorter but punchy day. Use the secondary “Piste” (dirt tracks) that connect the olive groves between the two towns.
• Visit: The natural land bridge of Imi n’Ifri, a massive limestone arch.
• Overnight: Kasbah Timdaf (Demnate).
• Day 3: The Dinosaur Tracks & High Valleys (65 km | +1,200m)
• The Ride: From Demnate, head toward the village of Iouaridene. This is pure gravel bliss—ancient seabed terrain where you can see actual dinosaur footprints embedded in the rock.
• Terrain: Rocky technical climbs and fast plateaus.
• Overnight: Local Gîte in a Berber village.
Phase 2: The High Altitude Crossing
• Day 4: Crossing the Tizi n’Outfi (85 km | +1,800m)
• The Challenge: This is your “Queen Stage.” You climb from the green valleys up to the Tizi n’Outfi pass (2,150m).
• The Descent: A legendary gravel descent into the Tesaut Valley. The landscape shifts from alpine green to desert ochre.
• Overnight: Remote mountain lodge in the Tesaut Valley.
• Day 5: The “Hidden” Valley to Skoura (90 km | Long Descent)
• The Ride: Follow the river valley south. You will pass through the “hidden” village of Abachkou. The road is a mix of broken tarmac and sweeping gravel paths.
• Landscape: Massive canyon walls and terraced fields.
• Overnight: Skoura Palmerie (in a traditional Kasbah).
Phase 3: The Gateway to the Sahara
• Day 6: Skoura Oasis Exploration (50 km | Flat Gravel)
• The Ride: An “active recovery” day. Navigate the labyrinth of dirt paths inside the Skoura Palm Grove, visiting the 17th-century Ameridil Kasbah.
• Terrain: Sandy, silty tracks and palm-shaded alleys.
• Overnight: Skoura.
• Day 7: Skoura to Ouarzazate via “The Flint” (65 km | +600m)
• The Ride: Take the desert piste toward Oasis Fint. This is “Moon landscape” territory—black volcanic rock and shimmering heat hazes.
• Highlight: Emerging from the dry desert into the lush green pocket of Oasis Fint for mint tea.
• Overnight: Ouarzazate.
• Day 8: Transfer or “Movie Star” Loop
• Short morning ride to the Atlas Film Studios or a loop around the Mansour Eddahbi Lake.
• Afternoon transfer back to Marrakech (approx. 4 hours) or continue your journey toward the Sahara dunes.
